It seems that microsoft is also trying to catch up in tha race of socializing websites like Google's Orkut.com, Yahoo's Yahoo 360 with wallop.com
Definitely microsoft has come up with a real good interface, that need's appreciation.
New features that it has are music uploading and playing, so then that can be shared and played.(Dunno about the leagal issues, But cool thing)
Entire thing is based on Adobe Flash 9, So real cool interface.
